To register yourself for the service, youneed to send a message ACTBAL<14 Digit Account Number> on 9895088888 and once the message is delivered, the service will be activated on your registered number. Now you can simply give a call on 8431900900 to get the details of your balance. The bank will send you a text message containing the details of your bank balance.

Checking Balance through SMS

Federal Bank uses a little different approach when it comes to the SMS banking. To use the SMS banking to check the balance, you need to send BAL <MyShortNo> on 5676762. Once the message is delivered, you will receive a reply to the message and the new message will contain the details of your balance. Now you must be wondering that what is MyShortNo, so to clarify your doubt, it is the nickname of the account for which you need to check the balance. The standard MyShortNo contains SB followed by the last four digits of the account number. For example, if the last four digits of my account number are 3333 then the MyShortNo will be SB3333.
